SIAM PARK - TENERIFE

Siam-Park-BeachSiam Park is relatively new to Tenerife, it opened its doors in 2008 as the most spectacular theme park with water attractions in Europe.  Not only does it have water slides, but is home to sea lions and a large aquarium.  The park is located in the south of the island off of TF1 exit 28 or 29

The atmosphere at the park is a very tranquil abyss, set within themed Thai surroundings.  It has a man-made beach at one side, on which you can relax and dart in and out of the water.  Every so often a large gong goes off to warn that the man-made 3metre waves are about to start.

Tower-Of-PowerOn the other side of the park is the multitude of rides including the Tower of Power, an almost vertical drop, not for the faint-hearted.  The rest of the rides involve sitting in a rubber ring, and braving different elements from sudden drops, sheer darkness, light shows and smoke effects.

Inbetween the two sections there is a child friendly part, sectioned off from the main park goers.  Lost-CityThis is for small children, along with their parents, they can enjoy a waterpark experience all of their own.

The whole park is set around a Thai theme, with all of its elements imported from Thailand, even the restaurants have a selection of Thai food on offer along with other choices.  The Tower of Power and the Mai Thai River both flow through the large aquarium, allowing you to see sharks, sting rays and other fish up close.
